Bougie Candles is truly a labor of love—created by me, Teddie. As the owner and chief candle maker (and longtime, self-proclaimed Candle Queen), I’ve always been drawn to beautiful scents and all things bougie. That passion inspired me to turn a longtime dream into reality: creating a luxurious, mood-setting home fragrance experience that still feels accessible and approachable.

Each candle is handmade in small batches using a premium coconut-soy blend wax and high-quality fragrance oils chosen for their rich, lingering scent throw. I’m committed to using thoughtful, sustainable materials whenever possible, including reusable vessels, lids, and cotton wicks, so every candle feels as good to burn as it does to display.

After years spent working in marketing, it’s incredibly rewarding to pour that experience - and a whole lot of heart - into building Bougie Candles. I truly believe luxury shouldn’t be reserved for a select few; it should be something everyone can enjoy.

Our motto is “Your Life Made Luxe,” and I hope each candle brings a little extra warmth, beauty, and indulgence into your everyday moments. ✨

Other inspiration

Let’s face it, sometimes life stinks. Literally. Like when you have a dog or two, or a kid or two. Or some of each! Things can definitely get kind of “less than fresh” around the home.

Part of the inspiration for Bougie Candles is directly related to the other creatures who have shared our house over the years. For better or worse, they’re all family, and we love them. We just love them more when we don’t smell them quite as much.
